Hannah Ross-Smith

Hi, I'm Hannah and I'm a veterinary assistant.

I was born and raised in NE Ohio. I always grew up with the teachings of "treat people how you would want to be treated." That has stuck with me my whole life. I have always been in the caregiver field. It started in human health care for 10 plus years. Then I got into animal rescue, and my passion shifted to those who really don't have a voice. From fostering countless pit bulls in need (and foster failing a few along the way because how could you not?)  to rescuing/adopting 7 reptiles as well. Working in vet med I realized that this is the career I had been working towards my whole life. I really found my passion and home after starting at CVR.

At CVR, you will find me running our Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber, assisting Dr. Surovi in appointments, custom fitting your pup for a wheelchair, conducting under water treadmill or gym sessions, or most importantly, cracking jokes to keep the day fun and exciting. They say when you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. At CVR, it's not a job for me, it's family! Staff and clients alike. If you happen to catch me out in the wild, you will probably find me hiking with my wife and our 2 senior Pit Bulls, Gracie and Phoenix. Or building some sort of new enrichment concoction playground for my reptiles. Blanche ~Dorothy ~ and Stanley the tortoises, Norbert the Bearded Dragon, PrayTell the Blue Tongue Skink, Dahli the Uromastyx, Fluffy the Crested Gecko, and Stevie Nicks the Chameleon.

Rachel Blumberg

Hello, I’m Rachel, a dog and cat therapy assistant. I started working in veterinary medicine in 2018. I support the well-being of animals and assist in therapy sessions to improve their lives. I find joy in helping animals thrive and being able to connect with their owners. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, cherishing moments with my loved ones and pets at home.

Carsyn Lammers

My name is Carsyn, and I've been working at CVR as a veterinary assistant since May 2024. I graduated with a bachelor's degree from Kent State University, studying zoology.

My favorite thing about working at CVR is making connections with the patients and their owners as well as seeing a patient reach their goals. Outside of work, I enjoy sports, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
